Infrastructure & Projects
EPC schedules have no slack. Project freight is planned backwards from the commissioning date, not forwards from the factory gate.
Project and EPC cargo for large builds.
Infrastructure and EPC cargo is the most demanding freight there is: transformers, towers, turbines, boilers and modules that are oversized, irreplaceable within the schedule, and destined for sites that may have no crane and no proper road.
Everything depends on planning done before fabrication finishes. Route surveys, permits, lifting plans and vessel selection all have lead times measured in weeks, and they — not the factory — usually set the critical path.
Cargo we move for this sector
- Power transformers and switchgear
- Transmission towers and structures
- Turbines, boilers and pressure vessels
- Pre-assembled process modules
- Construction plant and heavy equipment
The problems worth solving
Site erection windows and commissioning dates cannot move, so every upstream delay compounds.
ODC permissions, escorts and utility clearances routinely take longer than the journey itself.
Many project destinations have no heavy crane and limited road access, which decides the vessel and equipment months earlier.
Pieces must arrive in the order the site can erect them, not the order they were manufactured.
What we do differently here
-
01
Route surveys before fabrication
Physical inspection of bridges, radii and clearances early enough to influence how the piece is built.
-
02
Permits driven to issue
ODC permits, state approvals and escorts applied for and tracked, not just requested.
-
03
Engineered lifting and stowage
Lifting plans, rigging arrangements and stowage approved, with marine warranty survey where value warrants.
-
04
Deliveries sequenced to erection
Shipments planned against the site programme, with storage arranged where the site is not yet ready.
What this sector books most
Infrastructure & Projects, answered
Before fabrication is complete, ideally at design stage. Route constraints can influence how a piece is built, and that option disappears once it is welded.
We do — permits, state approvals, utility clearances and police escorts, tracked through to issue as part of the scope.
We arrange bonded or open storage near site and resequence deliveries. Telling us early is always cheaper than arranging storage in a hurry.
Yes. We route via geared vessels and bring mobile lifting to site where required, planned as part of the move rather than found later.
Per project, after a survey. There are too many variables — route, permits, equipment, lifts, vessel space — for a rate card to be honest.
